Today, Apple has startet the public beta of safari for windows. It should be faster as other browsers for windows and it has font smoothing for win xp.
The browser works good at my win XP installation. But there are some bugs, especially with links. The links at heute.de, strohhalm.org for example are displayed with wrong colors and at wrong places. Meebo.com kills the browser.
There is still something to do: but I’m looking forward the final version.
What I don’t understand: If they are porting their software to windows, why are there rendering problems? Are they rewriting parts of the software? I hope not, because than there will be two different versions, which a web developer has to test.
